If you have a passion for creating meals that wow, we want to hear from you.Responsibilities:Follow directions from the Owner/Head Chef and follow through with set menusAssist Owner/Head Chef with creating menus according to season and customer researchCooking of traditional Mexican and American foodCooking of Various Authentic International Foods as determined by the Owner/Head ChefPresentation of all dishes in an appealing mannerMaintaining a clean and organized work environment.Inventory maintenance Requisitioning or purchasing/ordering of supplies. Maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing waste and implementing cost-saving strategies.Monitoring product quality and consistency.Follow all food safety regulationsMotivating and fostering a positive work environmentQualifications:Previous cooking experience in commercial kitchen, small cafe or deliKnowledge of kitchen equipment and food decorating techniquesAbility to take direction from the Owner/Head ChefKnowledge of cooking of authentic Mexican foodsStrong attention to detailAdvanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipesCertification from culinary school a plusKnowledge of health code laws and food safety standardsTraining in food safety - ServeSafe or Food Handlers Certification is a plusInventory control skillsAbility to handle a fast paced work environmentAbility to multi-taskBilingual Fluent verbal & written communication in both English & SpanishExcellent time management skillsStrong leadership skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
