How about being a part of something really important? If so, this job is for you!   The Cage Processing Technician is a critical role that supports animal research at Tulane. This is also great opportunity if you are interested in a career path and growth potential.  Job Responsibilities:  Operates mechanical cage washing equipment, autoclaves and other sanitizing equipment.  Loads assembled cages onto transport racks in preparation for sterilization by steam autoclave.  Provides basic cage wash duties including the processing of all caging material through mechanical cage and rack washers  Maintains cagewash facilities in a clean and organized mannerMaintains facility equipment and performs routine preventative maintenance on cagewash and autoclaves Disposes of waste materials in a safe and thorough manner as requiredSweeps, mops and disinfects cage wash areas at the end of each shift    NOTE: To provide necessary care for the animals, this position is required to be available on weekends and holidays.  This position is considered essential personnel in the event of an emergency.Required Qualifications•High School Diploma or equivalent.Preferred QualificationsN/A
