Job DescriptionThe candidate will be responsible for the calibration of EBAD's gauges and for providing backup to the Receiving Inspection area. The role is expected to spend 70% of a typical week supporting calibration, 30% supporting Receiving Inspection.Responsibilities: Perform calibration on all gauges that are calibrated internally.Accurately record the results of those calibrations. Manage in flow of gauges to and from external calibration sources.Clean, repair and calibrate using standards with have an unbroken chain of traceability to nationally accepted standards and a total summation of accuracy uncertainty with is in accordance with company and customer specifications.Develop new calibration procedures and revised existing procedures as needed.Communicate the status of gauges that require calibration.Support Receiving Inspection (RI) with the inspection of incoming parts and materials.Maintain accurate, neat and complete inspection recordsKeep work area organized and clean and follow all established safety guidelinesWork within a team structure to achieve company and department goalsPerform additional duties related to specific area assignments when requested.Requirements:The successful candidate must have graduated from High School or earned an equivalent G.E.D. and has 3+ years of experience with inspection of mechanical components in an aerospace or defense related company or related field.Required experience includes:Capable of utilizing all standard inspection tools and equipment including calipers, micrometers and drop indicators.Must be familiar with ISO/AS Quality System requirements.Must be able to read and interpret Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T) or to learn GD&T.Must have at least 3 years of experience working with Calibration tools.Must be able to read and understand military specifications and industry standards.Must be able to read and understand English.Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management.Must have basic PC fundamentals, knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.Desired skills:Six Sigma Green Belt through ASQ, CQE/CQM Certification program is a plus. Experience working directly with internal/external customers and suppliers.Compensation: Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
