Xtreme Teens - Camp Counselor 2026The Xtreme Teens Camp Counselor is a seasonal position that will be working with campers that range from 11 to 13 years of age. The counselor must be enthusiastic caring and committed to providing an outstanding experience for the campers. They will be responsible for leading daily activities maintaining good communication with parents and campers supervision and leadership of their camp group and planning camp activities. The Xtreme Teens program is designed to provide full-day recreational care to its participants with an emphasis on having fun through engaging activities in a positive safe and structured environment.*Please note Xtreme Teens applicants will not be contacted for interviews until January 2026Qualifications:The Camp Counselor position is open to all qualified applicants 16 years of age (as of June 1 2026) and older. Experience working with children preferred. Must feel comfortable leading group activities with children grades 6-8.Hours:The program runs approximately 8 am - 4 pm (depending upon camp assignment) Monday - Friday from June to August 2026. Exact dates will be specificized in the following weeks. No absences are granted for this 7 week program. Camp training is mandatory and will begin as early as June 2nd 2026.Salary$15 depending on experienceBenefitsFreeFitness Center pass for employees who work 8 hours or more per week along with other discounts towards Park District programs.
