Full-timeDescriptionExcel Engineering Inc. is seeking a team-oriented highly motivated individual for our CAPEX Project Manager position.Since 1990 Excel Engineering Inc. has differentiated its services from that of its competition. We provide engineering solutions to achieve our clients business objectives. We offer full-service Electrical Engineering Consulting Management and Construction services. We operate in the United States and abroad.This employee will be responsible for the management of a variety of projects whose scope will include either the development of engineering deliverables or the upgrade of manufacturing facilities. Project stakeholders may include Clients internal team members vendors and contractors among others.Primary Responsibilities and SkillsThe primary responsibility will include the management of Client manufacturing facility upgrade and/or internal engineering design projects.Client manufacturing facility upgrade project responsibilities may include:Serve as the project manager for Client projects during applicable project phases (charter kickoff execution closeout etc.)Use Client provided tools for reporting and monitoring issues financials schedule and other project output during major project phasesManage project stakeholdersUtilize Client project management processes procedures and instructions throughout the project life cycleInternal engineering design projects may include:Support proposal development efforts (review Client request assist in proposal/estimate generation proposal follow-up)Mobilize upon project kickoff (PO verification kickoff meeting budget baseline etc.)Manage project execution (monitor deliverable development/quality resource needs report project status risk monitoring etc.)Responsible for project close-outMay be required to coordinate internal engineering resource needs with engineering department managers across multiple projectsRequirementsExperienceExperience participating in and managing process improvement or facilities upgrade projects within a variety of manufacturing environments.Experience with the construction and commissioning of manufacturing upgrade projectsFive (5) years of combined project management/engineering experience in manufacturing facilities or engineering consulting.EducationBachelors or Masters Degree in: Electrical Chemical Industrial or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 Scale.Optional Skills Applicable to the RoleTen (10) years of combined experience in Capital equipment and/or Facilities project management in a private public government or military environment.Experience working in FDA-regulated industry utilizing cGMP processes.Professional PE registration or ability to obtain such is preferred.Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or ability to obtain such is preferred.Familiarity with SAP enterprise resource planning software.Supervisory experienceWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
