Job Description

Shift Schedule: Part-Time/16 Hours; Monday-Friday 8:00AM- 4:30PM; Must be available 2 Days/WeekLocation: Baltimore Washington Medical CenterAddress: 255 Hospital Drive 3rd Floor Glen Burnie MD 21061Overview  Under general supervision performs routine and specialized cardiac sonographic procedures.   Key Responsibilities Key Responsibility 1: Executes basic clinical competence in cardiac sonography in all locations across all patient types.  Selects accurate equipment and technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient. Key Responsibility 2: Applies knowledge of cardiac sonography principles and practices including anatomy and physiology physics positioning and patient care skills.  Appropriately performs high level disinfecting procedures to meet organizational infection prevention standards.  Adheres to Joint Commission State Federal and departmental regulatory compliance standards. Key Responsibility 3: Documents accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.  Key Responsibility 4: Ensures a safe and appropriate work environment.  Maintains supplies and inventory in area.  Informs appropriate colleague when supplies need to be ordered from outside vendors.  Documents and reports related equipment/environmental problems in accordance with policy. Key Responsibility 5: Actively participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows patient experience and quality.  Actively participates in student and employee training and educational activities. Qualifications : Education Graduation from an approved and accredited Ultrasound Educational Program Experience No experience necessary  Licensures/Certifications RDMS Certification or CCI certification Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification Additional Information : All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. CompensationPay Range: $35.08-$52.64Other Compensation (if applicable):Review the 2024-2025 UMMS Benefits GuideRemote Work : NoEmployment Type : Part-time Key Skills Aseptic Technique,Hospital Experience,Anatomy Knowledge,Basic Life Support,Computer Skills,Physiology Knowledge,Sonography,Pediatrics Experience,Medical Imaging,Catheterization,Epic,Patient Service Experience Experience: years Vacancy: 1
