Tufts Medical Center and its CardioVascular Center are seeking a mid-career level cardiac surgeon with experience in aortic surgery and general cardiac surgery. The ideal candidate will support and drive the growth of the clinical and academic programs of the Division. Primary clinical responsibilities will include the broad spectrum of adult cardiac surgery, with a special emphasis on aortic surgery. The recruited surgeon will have ample opportunities to establish and/or grow a robust practice and advance their career.About the Division of Cardiac Surgery The Division: Is part of the CardioVascular Center at Tufts Medical Center, an integrated Heart and Vascular Center with financial and strategic alignment across Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, and Vascular SurgeryHas robust and growing interdisciplinary programs in advanced heart failure surgery, valvular/structural heart disease, cardiac arrhythmia, aortic disease, and ischemic heart disease.Performs approximately 1,000 cardiac surgical procedures per yearHas one of the largest heart transplant programs in the country; in 2024, Tufts cardiac surgeons performed a record 70 heart transplants, the most of any center in New England and to date in 2025 is annualizing to a higher number.
