ResponsibilitiesProvide on-call, as-needed coverage for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery services at VHC, Inpatient and ER.Manage a limited number of inpatient cases, with a focus on post-operative care and managementPerform both cardiac and thoracic surgeries as needed, with an emphasis on urgent or emergent proceduresMaintain a high standard of care and quality in all patient interactions and proceduresWork collaboratively with mid-level providers for patient care supportMinimum RequirementsMD or DOCurrently licensed or able to obtain the license in VirginiaSuccessful completion of residency program in Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship training in Cardio or Thoracic SurgeryBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic SurgeryTraining and familiarity in the use of EPIC (EMR) preferredHOW TO APPLY?Interested and qualified candidates should send a letter of interest and copy of their CV to Andrea Bell, Director of Physician Services Recruitment, at [email protected]
