Locums - Fort Myers, Florida, Advanced Heart Failure Cardiology OpeningStart Date: 1/26/26Schedule: 1 week per monthHours:Ambulatory: Monday-Friday, 8a-5pInpatient: Monday-Friday, 8a-5pSetting: Inpatient & Outpatient (no call, no weekends, onsite only)Duration: Ongoing monthly supportClinical RolePosition DetailsSeeking a Heart Failure Cardiologist with advanced training in:Advanced heart failureMechanical circulatory supportHeart transplantationIntegrated AHF cardiology & surgical programProvides comprehensive care across full heart failure spectrumNo LVAD implant program currentlyDutiesInpatientRounding on advanced HF, cardiogenic shock & decompensated HF patientsTypically 8-12 inpatients/dayAPP support available most days (may vary due to PTO/CME)OutpatientIndependent clinic care15 patients per day averageTypical mix: advanced HF, stable chronic HF, device-supported patientsOutpatient support staff: MA, RN, customer service repProceduresNo procedures requiredMust be proficient in managing short-term mechanical support devices:ImpellaECMOProgram HighlightsStrong, multidisciplinary teamExcellent outcomes in advanced HFWorks closely with 4 regional transplant referral centersAdvanced surgical support (percutaneous/surgical Impella, ECMO)No involvement in heart transplant proceduresRequirementsBC/BE in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant (ABIM)Completion of an ACGME-accredited HF fellowshipStrong proficiency with Impella & ECMOPreferred: 5+ years post-fellowshipExcellent communication and ability to collaborate with a large clinical teamEMRCernerSupport StaffInpatient APP (intermittent)Outpatient MA, RN, clinic support staffCredentialingTimeframe: 60-90 daysPrivileges: Foundation privileges onlyWhat RecruitWell ProvidesA-rated malpractice insuranceWeekly direct deposit24/7 recruiter supportFull onboarding and credentialing assistancePrepaid travel and lodgingRecruitWell Core ValuesOpen communicationSense of urgencyTeamworkAccountabilityDriven to winHigher consciousness
