Expertise is required in the specific area of cardiothoracic surgery. Applicants must have an M.D and/or Ph.D or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery or foreign equivalent or eligible for such certification.Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students, surgical residents, and fellows.Clinical responsibilities may include supporting the multidisciplinary cardiac surgery team, treating coronary artery disease, valvular disease and thoracic aortic disease as well as our TAVR program. The work will include in- and out-patient care of patients. The recruited physician will be a member of the larger Penn Medicine Cardiovascular Surgery faculty, a group of 13 surgeons.We are open to applicants who currently practice adult cardiac surgery or to any current cardiothoracic fellows who will complete their fellowship by August 2025.CCH is located in West Chester, PA and offers a robust program for cardiovascular surgical care. The successful candidate will serve as an attending surgeon at CCH in this specialty.
