Job Description
Build a professional one-on-one working relationship with participants to aid in eliminating challenges that are hindrances to obtaining and retaining employment and/or technical trainingCounsels and assists participants regarding job search strategies personal career advisement and training issues identifying and working with barriers to employment professional goal setting and planning. Identify outside resources programs and other services for customers if neededDisplay the ability to work with a variety of cultures languages educational and economic backgroundsAdvises monitors and tracks participation for customers so that they maximize of the functions and opportunities of the programWork with schools account managers and management to ensure appropriate documentation is completed and receivedManages the day-to-day relationship with customers addresses customer concerns promptly with an action plan to ensure satisfaction and documents all findings with case notes in a clear concise and timely mannerMaintains knowledge/professional understanding of a vast array of occupations/career paths (for effective placement/processing and assessment of customers as well as determining services most appropriate for their career goalsProvides motivational support to customers during the job search processIdentifies training needs and ensures appropriate trainingFacilitates job readiness/search workshopsDemonstrates strong strategies for re-engaging customers after training and finding employment for those customersDemonstrates effective use of the guidelines and standards of the Case Management Model to support the needs of the participantsSuccessfully documents customer success stories internally and externallyAnalyzes and constructs critiques of resumes/required documentation for effective processing for customer eligibilityDocument all participant contacts and activities in case notesAccurately completes required documentation for enrollmentAdministratively maintains accurate and complete records and correspondence as required by the Project Director and according to standards set by CustomerAssist in the preparation of project reports as needed (participation placement) Creates and maintains the policies and procedures for Career Advisement and assists in the training of other team members in those guidelinesDevelop and maintain a standard communication plan to keep staff informed of program issues and their role in meeting operational goalsWorks under direction of the Project Director to facilitate timely completion of tasks to sustain daily operations and complete special projects and assists program team members as necessaryProvide operational support and coverage as neededWork well in teams business customers and other staffAble to communicate effectively to both oral and writtenMay be assigned other tasks and duties reasonably related to their job responsibilitiesQualifications : QualificationsStrong communication and organization skills computer skills publishing skills and the ability to communicate clearly and conciselyThe ability to relate well with individuals ability to motivate and posses experience in presenting workshops and working with individuals having one or more barriers to employmentA referral network with other human service agencies in the community and can provide intervention services as neededKnowledge of various job search strategies resources and actions plansAbility to follow instructions wellAdaptable flexible and a fast learnerCreative and able to meet deadlinesWorks well under pressure and goal oriented and works well within a team conceptDemonstrated customer service skillsDemonstrated computer skills with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software applicationsFamiliarity with the communities being served with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resourcesBe able to work first shift and overtime if requiredTravel when necessaryAdditional Information : Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferredHybrid work scheduleAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Hourly wage: $32.55/hrEquus Workforce Solutions is a leading provider of workforce development services in North America.
