This position assists with day-to-day building tasks including framing, post setting, digging, material handling, and clean-up. The ideal candidate is hard-working, takes direction well, and is eager to learn the trade.ResponsibilitiesAssist with construction and installation of decks and fencesMeasure, cut, and handle lumber and building materialsSafely use basic carpentry and power tools (saws, drills, nail guns, etc.)Load and unload materials on job sitesDig post holes and mix and pour concreteMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow jobsite safety guidelines and instructions from lead carpenterRequirementsMust have reliable transportation to job sitesAbility to lift 80+ pounds repeatedly throughout the dayBasic experience using carpentry toolsAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditionsStrong work ethic and willingness to learnPunctual and dependableMonday through Friday availability (occasional Saturdays optional/if needed)Preferred (Not Required)Previous experience in deck or fence constructionFamiliarity with hand tools, table saws, circular saws, levels, and tape measures
