SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is currently seeking reliable Carpenters to work full time for SJS Executives supporting ongoing facilities maintenance operations at a local Veteran's Affairs Hospital in San Francisco.

The Pay for this position is expected to be $60.39/hr.
Responsibilities:
Remove, modify, and install handrails and wall protection systems in commercial and facility environmentsSupport in-house construction teams with staffing and installation of handrail systemsRenovate and restore interior building finishes, including walls, ceilings, and trim systemsPerform wall system repairs, including drywall modification, installation of backing materials, and finish restorationInstall and modify ceiling systems (acoustical and hard lid), including framing and grid systemsRemove, repair, and install flooring systems, including luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and other commercial flooring typesRead and interpret blueprints, building specifications, and applicable building codes to execute work accuratelySelect appropriate materials from various wood and composite products based on project requirementsUtilize visual acuity, sensory perception, and hand-eye coordination to diagnose deficiencies and perform precise repairs and installationsWork independently or as part of a crew in shop or field environments, applying full-spectrum carpentry skillsPerform construction, repair, and remodeling of residential, commercial, and industrial structuresMaintain and repair wooden structures including housing units, administrative buildings, and technical facilitiesPlan and lay out projects using drawings, sketches, blueprints, and field measurementsFabricate and install structural and finish components including frames, casings, doors, windows, transoms, ventilators, shelving, counters, cabinets, and built-insConstruct and install structural framing components including sills, beams, studs, trusses, and raftersBuild and finish interior systems including walls, sheathing, flooring, ceilings, and stair assembliesInstall and adjust hardware on new and existing structures with precision tolerancesSelect wood and substitute materials based on strength, durability, cost, and aesthetic requirementsFabricate and repair custom wood products such as furniture, storage units, lockers, benches, and cratesPerform repairs on waterfront structures including wharfs, docks, camels, and dolphinsConstruct concrete forms, scaffolding, and material handling structures such as pouring chutesOperate and maintain hand tools and power tools including saws, planes, squares, and measuring devicesSet up and adjust tools to perform precision cuts including bevels, rabbets, chamfers, dados, grooves, and mitersPerform material fabrication techniques including laminating, bending, and finishing surfacesMaintain and sharpen tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safetyQualifications:
Minimum four (4) years of experience as a carpenter.In accordance with federal regulations, possession of a valid Real ID is a requirement for this position.Must satisfy all additional federal, VA, and facility-specific credentialing requirements.Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation; please note the background check for this position extends past 7 years, in conformance with federal law and US Department of Justice guidelines for work on a military installation.SJS Executives' pay structure reflects a sincere effort to reward employees in accordance with factors such as, but not limited to years of experience, education, skills, budget constraints, and internal equity considerations, ensuring a fair and competitive compensation package.
