LEMOINE is seeking a skilled Carpenter I to join our team in the commercial industry specializing in concrete forming or drywall finishing. As an entry-level Carpenter you will be responsible for assisting in various carpentry tasks including framing concrete forming and finishing work. You will report to the project foreman and be expected to work collaboratively with the team and take direction from supervisors. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and safely on job sites. If you have experience in the commercial industry and are looking to grow your career as a Carpenter we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plansMeasuring cutting and shaping wood plastic and other materialsAssembling and fastening materials using nails screws staples and adhesivesInstalling structures such as windows frames floorings and trimConstructing forms and pouring concreteFinishing surfaces by sanding staining and paintingAssisting in the preparation and cleanup of job sitesOperating hand and power tools safelyQualifications: Must be able to push/pull lift or carry up to 55 lbs Subject to repetitive use of hands/arms and legsHand/eye coordinationMust be able to communicate (hear comprehend and speak) to safely perform workWill need to be able to perform sedentary to heavy work May operate hand and power tools (electric gas and pneumatic) of all types Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework stairs ladders and scaffoldsRequired to use hands to grasp lift handle carry or feel objects on a frequent basis Position may require prolonged bending/twisting walking crawling kneeling reaching overhead squatting pushing /pulling or standing and liftingMust be able to walk on uneven surfaces muddy conditions loose rock loose/soft sand etc.May be required to work in confined spaces Will be exposed to adverse weather conditions (Heat Cold Rain Etc.) Position RequirementsPhysical requirements: To perform the essential functions of the job Carpenters should have manual dexterity and the ability to assemble things. He or she must kneel squat stoop bend and climb; lift up to 75 pounds and have a good sense of balance and coordination.
