At SGPS ShowRig, we specialize in bringing world-class live events, concerts, and broadcasts to life through precision, creativity, and technical expertise. Joining our team means working as part of a professional touring crew-living on the road, traveling by bus, checking in and out of hotels, and setting up shows in arenas, stadiums, and venues across the country and the world.


Summary
As a Staging Carpenter, you'll work as part of the staging team to build, maintain, and dismantle staging elements for live events. This hands-on role requires physical stamina, adaptability, and a focus on safety while contributing to the overall success of touring productions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in setup and strike of staging equipment
  • Prepare, label, and pack gear for organized transport
  • Anticipate and prepare spares and additional equipment
  • Support scenic prop handling and movement of scenery during shows
  • Assist with on-tour gear repairs as needed
  • Maintain a collaborative and positive attitude on tour
Skills & Experience
  • Carpentry or stagehand experience preferred
  • travel and work extended hours
  • Physical strength and stamina to handle equipment
  • Strong focus on safety and adherence to guidelines
  • adapt to changing production requirements

Physical and Social Requirements

  • Our team members must be adaptable, collaborative, and innovative
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs
  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while maintaining professionalism and safety standards at all times

Travel & Schedule

Role requires variable hours that may include nights, weekends, and extended travel based on show and tour schedules.

Certifications & Training

OSHA 10 or 30

MEWP (scissor/boom lift) certification

Forklift certification
