Work ScheduleThird Shift (Nights)Environmental ConditionsAble to lift 40 lbs. without assistance Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards Cleanroom: no hair products jewelry makeup nail polish perfume exposed piercings facial hair etc... allowed Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery)Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryIn the Meriden plant a team member sets up and runs cartridge production equipment under supervision.Essential duties and responsibilities2 years of manufacturing experience is required.Configure and manage LifeASSURE cartridge manufacturing machinery.Setup pleaters and cartridge equipment for LifeASSURE cartridge operatives.Teach operators on accurate techniques for operating equipment.Keep records and location of cartridges produced.Maintain a clean and orderly work area.Observe all company and OSHA safety rules and practices.Check own work and work of other employees in the department and resolve any discrepancies with the team.Assist other department members to ensure safety and improve output.Perform various production operations safely and fill in on positions throughout manufacturing as required.Aid in the development of fellow team members.Access information via computer when needed.Supervisory responsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Proficiencies characteristics and qualificationsTo succeed in this position an individual needs to effectively complete each crucial duty. Read books looking up unfamiliar words in the dictionary for meaning spelling and pronunciation.Writing: Print simple sentences containing subject verb and object and series of numbers and names.Speaking: Speak simple sentences using normal word order and present and past tenses.Mathematical skillsAdd subtract multiply and divide all units of measure. Perform the four operations with like common and decimal fractions.Reasoning abilityEmploy rational judgment to follow detailed but straightforward written or verbal instructions. Will be required to work with flammable and hazardous materials.Compensation and BenefitsThe hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $19.64$29.45.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
