Federally designated as a senior military college, one of the university's signature leadership programs is its 800-member Corps of Cadets on UNG's Dahlonega Campus.Job Summary The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Case Manager on the Dahlonega campus. The Case Manager serves as a non-clinical (non-confidential) advocate and case manager for undergraduate and graduate students at UNG. This role requires sound judgment, compassion, and a student-centered approach to addressing referrals and coordinating care. Located on the Dahlonega campus, the Case Manager supports students across all six UNG campuses, including online learners, and reports to the Associate Dean for Student Care and Outreach. This position is guided by UNG's Students First. Always. commitment and supports the Division for Student Engagement and Success's four pillars of student success: Sense of Purpose, Belonging and Engagement, Academic Achievement, and Well-being. In alignment with the Office of the Dean of Students' mission, the Case Manager advocates for and supports students as they pursue their goals at UNG. The role helps students navigate complex life circumstances, university policies, and processes, while promoting integrity, safety, and well-being across the campus community. Responsibilities Manage a student support caseload of mild to elevated level concerns, providing individualized care, tailored intervention, and consistent follow-up to students, and referring parties.Facilitate referrals to on and off campus services for students who face complex, hardship, and/or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., academics, death of loved one, financial, emotional distress, social adjustment, and other related concerns) that could affect their ability to be successful at UNG.Provide advocacy for students, with instructors as appropriate, ensuring their needs are communicated and addressed.Consult collaboratively with UNG offices and personnel, community organizations, and family members to assist students who experience various concerns that impact their progress and success at UNG. Develop collaborative partnerships.Create and sustain campaign efforts to educate faculty and staff on how to support students of concern, including how and when to make appropriate referrals.Deliver proactive messaging and educational outreach to promote student well-being, mental health awareness, academic resources, academic best practices, and more.Maintain student case files in Maxient, ensuring case notes and other records are maintained in accordance with university policies and federal and state regulations.Assist with data analysis to identify and assess evolving issues impacting student success and effectiveness of intervention models and resource delivery. Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesFamiliar with support services within a higher education or community setting to assist students/client.
