We are currently seeking a Cash Accountant to join our dynamic Cash Team located at the corporate office in Irvine, CA. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of student ledgers, cash and credit card transactions for all entities. This is accomplished by monitoring and auditing daily transactions for accuracy, completeness, conformance to procedural standards and communicating with the campuses on a daily basis. In addition, this position is responsible for processing daily banking activities such as preparing daily banking activity reports, processing stop payments and canceled checks.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Abide by generally accepted accounting principles and internal procedures and controls, to protect and preserve the Company's assets
- Monitor and audit cash receipts for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare daily banking activity reports
- Order banking supplies
- Process check uploads
- Process canceled checks and stop payments
- Communicate with campuses regarding credit card rejected transactions
- Provide support to internal and external auditors during quarterly and year-end reviews relating to financial statement audits, including preparation of supporting documentation
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-3 years of related or equivalent experience preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving dynamic environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Prior experience with financial accounting software applications
- Strong computer skillsspecifically Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
