Cash Applications Supervisor Dallas, TX – 4 days onsiteVaco has partnered with one of our large, PE-backed distribution clients that has doubled in size and revenue in the last couple of years to help find a Cash Applications Supervisor.  This will be a hands-on role with 2-3 direct reports ideally suited for someone with a strong working knowledge of unapplied cash.  This team rolls up to a fantastic CFO that we’ve worked with for years- she is known for building up really strong cultures and people love working with/for her. CULTURE super important – smaller group, like to get along with each other, learn from the team, build/feed off of each other while working independently (sense of humor huge plus). Compensation: $75-85K Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily cash application activities, including lockbox, ACH, wire, credit card, and check paymentsEnsure accurate and timely posting of customer payments to accounts receivable in accordance with company policiesReview and resolve unapplied cash, short pays, overpayments, and payment discrepanciesManage customer remittance processing and ensure proper documentation and audit trailsLead, coach, and develop cash application staff; set performance expectations and conduct reviewsEstablish and maintain standard operating procedures and internal controls related to cash applicationPartner with Accounts Receivable and Credit teams to support collections and dispute resolutionReconcile cash receipts to bank statements and the general ledgerSupport month-end close activities, including reporting and reconciliationsIdentify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracyEnsure compliance with SOX and other internal control requirements, as applicableQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred4+ years of experience in cash application or accounts receivable, with prior supervisory or lead experienceStrong understanding of cash application processes, bank reconciliations, and AR systemsExperience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsVaco provides expert consulting, permanent placement, executive search, managed services, and strategic staffing solutions for companies around the world, in the areas of accounting, finance, technology, healthcare, operations and more.
