Summary of DutiesProvides general support to Business Office activities.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist with, monitor, and reconcile student receivable accounts.Prepare all student billings.Assist with, monitor, and reconcile the billing of third-party student accounts receivable.Assist with the hold process for delinquent student accounts.Assist with the accounts receivable collection process.Prepare and process all tuition, fees and excess financial aid refunds.Assist with reconciliation of general ledger accounts.Assist with posting journal entries.Prepare correspondence and billings as needed.Enter data into spreadsheets for various reports.Answer telephone, sort and distribute mail, perform copy work and filing.Act as receptionist, greet visitors, students and answer questions.Receive payments on account and close out reports daily.Serve as an active member of institutional meetings and within Shared Governance as appropriatePerform other similar duties as required.Experience, Skills & AbilitiesRequired:Meet and communicate politely and effectively with the general public, staff, faculty and students. Possess knowledge of office practices and procedures.Ability to type and operate Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook. Capability to write business correspondence.Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent time management and interpersonal skills, organization, coordination and prioritization of work to achieve department goals, and be able to work overtime when necessary.Must have an appreciation for and understanding of a two-year college mission.Preferred:Relational database experience.Education & CertificationsRequired:Associates degree or equivalent work experience.Preferred:Experience in an accounting or bookkeeping function.
