You’ll prep, cook, and lead on-site execution for a wide range of gatherings—sometimes solo, sometimes with a team. Whether it’s a backyard wedding, a corporate lunch, or a multi-day conference, you’ll bring B&B’s standards to life through flavor, organization, and leadership.How You’ll Help Bring Events to LifeIn this role, here is what you will do: Prepare and cook food on-site according to detailed event worksheets and B&B’s culinary standardsLead and support a team of 2–8 kitchen staff at events (prep cooks, other event chefs, or server-assistants)Use of company vehicle to transport, set up, and break down kitchen and buffet areas at a variety of venuesFollow kitchen safety protocols and ensure food handling complianceCommunicate with the Event Manager and team for a smooth guest experienceMaintain cleanliness and organization throughout service and during breakdownKeep detailed notes on any equipment needs or quality concernsOccasionally assist with training new Event ChefsUpdate availability in Nowsta and respond to shift requests within 24 hoursRequirements:The Ingredients for Success in This Role (Required & Preferred Qualifications)To be successful in this role, the following requirements are:5+ years of culinary experience, including food prep and cooking in varied venues3+ years of kitchen leadership experience (leading 2–8 kitchen staff)Must be 18 or older with reliable transportationValid driver’s license and insurable driving record (for use of company van)ServSafe Certified or willingness to obtainStrong understanding of food safety and sanitation standardsComfortable working with commercial kitchen equipmentCalm under pressure and excellent communication skillsAbility to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidaysWork Conditions & Physical Aspects of the RoleThis role may require:Standing or walking for extended periodsRepetitive motion using hands and armsLifting/moving up to 40 poundsWorking in high-activity or variable temperature environmentsOccasional communication in loud or busy settingsReasonable accommodations will be made in accordance with applicable laws.Everyone Has a Seat at Our TableB&B Catering & Events is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a respectful and inclusive workplace.
