Job Overview Title: Cath Lab Technologist Department: Cath Lab Tech Type: Travel Contract (13 Weeks) Schedule: Day Shift 4x10 Hours 6:30 AM 5:00 PM Start Date: 12/15/2025 Job Description Summary: We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to support adult diagnostic and interventional cardiac peripheral and vascular procedures. This position requires strong sterile field techniques hemodynamic monitoring skills and fluoro experience. Candidates must have at least 2 years of relevant Cath Lab experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Call is required; weekends are not. Daily caseload ranges between 8 12 procedures primarily focused on Coronary Artery Disease Peripheral Vascular Disease and Cardiac Arrhythmias. Responsibilities Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including: Left & right heart catheterizations Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) PTCA Cardiac stent placement Temporary and permanent pacemaker insertion Impella insertion* Hemodynamic monitoring* Adult diagnostic catheterizations Peripheral & Vascular Procedures Support advanced vascular interventions including: Peripheral angiography Carotid stenting* Endovascular interventions* Dialysis graft creation/revision* Fistulograms/declots* Thrombolysis/thrombectomy* Renal and ureteral stent placement* TIPS procedures* Interventional Radiology & Special Procedures Assist in IR-based procedures such as: Gastrostomy/G-tube placement* Liver biopsy* Paracentesis & thoracentesis* Embolization & coil embolization/peripherals* ERCP* Room & Equipment Responsibilities Scrub procedures while maintaining sterile field Set up and prepare all procedure equipment Monitor patient vitals/hemodynamics (preferred) Operate fluoroscopy systems Maintain equipment inventory and supply stock Document cases via PACS Safety & Patient Care Maintain all isolation and radiation safety standards Support urgent/emergent cases as needed Educate patients and families regarding procedures Key Requirements Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience First-time travelers accepted Daily caseload: 8 12 No floating required Call required No weekends Must have ARRT Fluoro Permit ACLS BLS RCIS not accepted unless ARRT is also held Pending Fluoro Permits accepted only if already applied at time of submission Block scheduling considered (case-by-case) Locals accepted Orientation: 30 hours Guaranteed hours: facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks All RTO must be submitted and approved up front Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Experience: 2 years Cath Lab experience required Experience in diagnostic and interventional coronary & peripheral procedures required Community hospital experience preferred License & Certifications: ARRT (R) Required State Radiology License Required Fluoroscopy Permit Required (pending accepted with proof of application) BLS (AHA) Required ACLS Required RCIS Only accepted when paired with ARRT and 5 years experience (preferred but not required) Skills Procedural Skills Scrubbing monitoring* and equipment setup Coronary and peripheral interventions Cardiac caths: LHC RHC PCI PTCA Pacemakers & AICDs Vascular access & venous interventions Thrombolysis/thrombectomy* TIPS* ERCP* embolization* biopsies* Technical Skills Fluoroscopy operation PACS Equipment maintenance & inventory Sterile technique Additional Competencies Isolation precautions Emergency response readiness Ability to work in high-acuity procedural environment ATD Technology LLC is a certified minority woman owned business that creates opportunities to match qualified individuals with client programs while meeting all parties financial and technical goals.
