South Brazoria Countys premier healthcare system St. Lukes HealthBrazosport Hospital is dedicated to providing quality care with compassion for the communities we serve.Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Cath Lab Tech you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting.Every day youll independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS pressure wire rotablator IMPELLA atherectomy devices laser and angiojet. You will demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures utilize good radiation safety practices and you will make a positive impact on internal and external customers. To be successful in this role youll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow various patient positioning techniques and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.Exhibits strong organization skills such as: strong interaction and time management skills independent problem solving and conflict resolution skills and fiscal management skills. Ensures departmental atmosphere is professional and patient oriented to enhance patient careResponsible for managing staff and room activities to maximize productivity. Coordinates staffing assignments within room to ensure technical role assignments are responsive to patients needs and reflective of staff member abilities. Makes suggestions for staffing and procedural changes and collaborates with other departments in the hospital as neededWorks in conjunction with schedule coordinator managers supervisors and other room leaders to facilitate departmental productivity.
