We celebrate differences because everyone learns differently!Position Summary:Under the support and direction of the Lead Teacher, you will assist in the operations of an assigned classroom to ensure Celebree's mission, vision, and values are upheld and that children are provided with a developmentally age-appropriate learning environment.Qualifications:Entry-level knowledge and understanding of children's behavioral and developmental stagesBeginning knowledge of State licensing regulationsAbility to assist in classroom management, including strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and problem-solving skillsPatience and flexibilityEssential Functions:Assist in classroom management, ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies, and proceduresProvide a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for children, parents, and visitorsMaintain attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent BoardCreate and implement thorough, timely lesson plans that are age-appropriate and stimulating by Celebrees curriculumManage effective classroom transitionsSupervise children during all activities, using positive and appropriate discipline techniques as neededEnsure the classroom's appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment are maintainedComplete all classroom paperworkAttend all team meetings, training, and school events as requested; limit unscheduled absencesPresent a positive and professional image, always adhering to uniform requirementsCommunicate effectively with parents, greeting them by name, addressing concerns promptly, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their childs development and classroom happeningsIdentify opportunities and/or problems in the classroom or school and work with the Lead Teacher and Director to resolve themMaintain confidentiality regarding families, co-workers, and selfFlexibility in working with various age groupsOther tasks as assigned by managementPhysical Demands:Frequently bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, lifting, and carryingAbility to lift 50 poundsEducation/Experience:Experience in the childcare industry preferredSpecific Skills:Certification in CPR and First AidWe welcome you to be a part of a team that makes a difference every day!Work Location:One locationWork Remotely:NoI hope this makes your job ad more engaging!
