Assembly Engineer– Hands-On Role in Advanced ManufacturingFull-TimeAnderson, IndianaMeet your Talent Advisor Mary Jane EvansA hands-on Assembly Engineer to join a growing Engineering team. In this role, you will develop, implement, and improve assembly processes for constant velocity joints (CVJs). You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance productivity, quality, and safety in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.What You’ll Do as an Assembly EngineerSupport, develop, and improve manufacturing methods for assembly operations.Test and evaluate equipment and components to eliminate failures and boost productivity.Develop methods to maintain or increase production levels while improving safety, cost, and quality.Design and improve tooling for CVJ assembly through reverse engineering and new designs.Troubleshoot assembly process issues and implement solutions to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.Plan and perform plant trials to determine performance capabilities.Lead cost reduction activities and collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality teams.Serve as a technical leader for the Engineering team, including technicians and support engineers.Requirements needed for our Assembly EngineerBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent experience).3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Ability to read electrical schematics, pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams, and machine blueprints.Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks) a plus.Familiarity with troubleshooting and programming robots, PLCs, servo controllers, and VFDs a plus.Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Why You’ll Love Working as an Assembly Engineer401(k) with company match.Paid time off and holidays.Opportunities for professional growth and advancement.A collaborative, safety-focused environment where your ideas matter.Send resume to Mary Jane Evans Career Transitions: Find Your Dream Job or Hire the Best Talent Career Transitions, a Morale Group Company, is a leading recruiting agency that specializes in helping employers find their next critical hire and job seekers find their dream job.
