Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Full-Time | Direct Hire

💰 $18 – $25 per hour (based on experience)

We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a growing healthcare team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will primarily support the OBGYN team while helping deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients.

This is a direct-hire, full-time opportunity offering a consistent weekday schedule and comprehensive benefits starting on Day One.

Spanish fluency is preferred but not required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Support

• Greet and prepare patients for exams and procedures with professionalism and compassion
• Collect and document vital signs, patient intake, and clinical information in Epic EMR
• Assist providers during exams, treatments, and procedures
• Administer medications and injections as ordered (if certified)
• Perform EKGs, urinalysis, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe exam rooms and clinical equipment

Administrative & Clinic Support

• Assist with scheduling, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out when needed
• Float between clinic locations across the Tampa area, as assigned
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, clinical regulations, and organizational policies
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and care teams

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program
• Current Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA)
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant
• OBGYN experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to work in one clinic or float between Tampa-area locations
• Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
