We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a growing healthcare team in Lady Lake, Florida, specializing in Orthopedics. In this role, you will support orthopedic providers while helping deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.


This is a direct-hire, full-time opportunity offering a consistent weekday schedule and comprehensive benefits starting on Day One.


Spanish fluency is preferred but not required.

Candidates will be cross-trained with multiple providers to become familiar with different specialties, providersโ€™ workflows, and patient care protocols, ensuring versatility and growth within the practice.


This position also offers opportunity for advancement within the Medical Assistant role for candidates who demonstrate initiative, skill, and a commitment to patient care.

Additionally, candidates will have the opportunity to become certified in phlebotomy through the company, expanding their clinical skills and career growth.


Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Support

  • Greet and prepare patients for orthopedic exams and procedures with professionalism and compassion
  • Collect and document vital signs, patient intake, and clinical information in the EMR
  • Assist providers during orthopedic exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Apply and remove splints, braces, and assist with casting (experience preferred)
  • Administer medications and injections as ordered (if certified)
  • Perform EKGs, urinalysis, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe exam rooms and clinical equipment


Administrative & Clinic Support

  • Assist with scheduling, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out as needed
  • Float between multiple clinic locations within Lady Lake, FL, as assignedโ€”schedule is known in advance, not daily or back-to-back; sometimes once a week
  • May occasionally travel to Ocala, FL, as needed (travel reimbursement provided)
  • Cross-train with multiple providers to gain exposure to various workflows and patient care approaches
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and organizational policies
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and care teams


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Orthopedic experience preferred
  • Casting experience preferred
  • Experience with splinting or orthopedic procedures is a plus
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Must be flexible to travel to multiple clinic locations within Lady Lake, FL as assigned (schedule known in advance; not daily or back-to-back; sometimes once a week)
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Adaptable, team-oriented, and flexible
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment


Compensation & Benefits
