DescriptionThe Certified MOHS Technician assists in the process of complex tissue removal and microscopic examination of skin cancer cells. Also the MOHS Technician performs extensive administrative duties involving medical record keeping developing laboratory protocols and following federal and state guidelines. They will assist the surgeon in all stages of surgery.Responsibilities Senior MOHS Technician is responsible for providing complex skilled surgical and medical support to the MOHS surgeon with the patients care comfort safety and confidentiality as primary concerns. daily evaluation of tissue slide preparation to ensure quality compliance. for and assists in shaving and punching biopsies and excisions suture removal and wound care. for and assists in cosmetic procedures such as the administration of Botox various fillers laser treatments and a variety of peels. patients charts forms instruments and other equipment as needed for surgery and patient care. routine housekeeping duties and sterile technique.
