HSHS is seeking interested applicants for our PAID CNA Apprenticeship program in partnership with Midwest Career Source to receive CNA certification (pending passed exam) followed by a 1 year full time work commitment with HSHS St. Elizabeths Hospital in OFallon IL. Position Specifics:Department: Med Surg Unit or Cardiac Step Down Telemetry Core Function: Nursing Support Schedule: Full time 36 hrs/wkFacility:St. Elizabeths HospitalLocation: OFallon ILCompensation that aligns with your experience Once the 6-8 week training program is completed within HSHS you will be gainfully employed as a Patient Care Assistant working with patients in Med Surg or Cardiac/Telemetry Units within HSHS.Education QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.Experience Qualifications1-2 years of healthcare experience is preferred.Certifications Licenses and RegistrationsBasic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30-days of employment.Must be actively working toward certification/licensure in field of practice.Job Description Scheduled Weekly Hours:36Throughout communities in Illinois and Wisconsin 13 hospitals numerous community-based health centers and clinics our 13000 colleagues have built a culture based on our solid core values of respect care competence and joy.
