Requirements / Qualifications
The job of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), under the direction of a registered Occupational Therapist (OT), was established for the purpose/s of utilizing specialized equipment and treatment techniques to facilitate implementation of individual educational programs related to motor and functional skills development.
Experience: Previous work with children; experience working in a variety of settings, including clinic, school, and home; experience working collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and working with families, training others in the appropriate implementation of educational programs related to the development of motor skills. Education: Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Certificates and Licenses: American Occupational Therapy Association Certification; National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy; CA driver's license and auto insurance.
