Overview: Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world’s largest distributors of healthcare systems, medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products, seeks an accomplished Certified Pharmacy Technician



Job Title: Certified Pharmacy Technician

Location: Irving, TX

Duration: 6 months assignment with possible extension


Work Schedule:

  • Sunday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Monday – Thursday: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
  • 40 hours per week (8 hours/day)
  • Onsite role


Must-Have Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Active Pharmacy Technician License
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
  • 1–3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in central fill, mail order, or production pharmacy environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and reach frequently


Responsibilities:

  • Manually fill prescription vials with tablets and capsules according to prescription instructions.
  • Read computer-generated screens to identify correct medication, strength, and quantity.
  • Perform counting and basic calculations to ensure accurate prescription fills.
  • Replenish medications in automated dispensing cells.
  • Scan product barcodes and enter expiration dates and lot numbers into the system.
  • Perform quality checks to prevent cross-contamination and identify damaged or expired medications.
  • Prepare cold-chain and specialty prescriptions according to handling requirements.
  • Assist with packaging and shipping prescriptions to ensure timely distribution.
  • Follow HIPAA regulations and pharmacy procedures to protect patient privacy and safety.
  • Perform weekly inventory cycle counts and assist with discrepancy investigations.
  • Identify and escalate operational issues to management when necessary.


Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Active Pharmacy Technician License
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
  • 1–3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in central fill, mail order, or production pharmacy environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and reach frequently
  • Ability to push/pull and lift/carry up to 15 lbs
  • Comfortable working in a pharmacy warehouse environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on patient care.
