JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview:


Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world’s largest distributors of healthcare systems, medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products, seeks an accomplished Pharmacy Technician


Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Louisville, KY 40219 (Hybrid – primarily work-from-home after training)

Duration: Approx. 3 Months Contract

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour


Work Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Possible overtime on Saturdays if requested
  • 1-week onsite training (minimum) in Louisville, KY
  • After training: Work-from-home with onsite rotation 2–3 days per month


Must-Have Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Active PTCB Certification (must provide license number)
  • Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy prior to hire
  • Ability to work 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM shift
  • Ability to work onsite minimum 2–3 days per month after training
  • Strong phone communication experience for provider / HCP calls


Responsibilities:

  • Enter prescription information into pharmacy dispensing systems for pharmacist review
  • Maintain strong knowledge of pharmacy policies, procedures, and government regulations
  • Calculate medication dosages based on prescriptions and clinical guidelines
  • Record prescription clarifications provided by pharmacists in system records
  • Answer inbound calls from patients, physicians, and healthcare providers
  • Route or triage calls to the appropriate department or team member when necessary
  • Assist with pharmacy quality improvement initiatives
  • Support program workflows based on specific program guidelines
  • Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented pharmacy environment.


Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician
  • Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy (required prior to hire)
  • Demonstrated success working in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions and documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities as needed
  • Strong attention to detail for pharmacy data entry and prescription processing
  • Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and internal teams
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced pharmacy or healthcare operations environment
