JOB DESCRIPTION
IV Pharmacy Technician & UD Technicians (Government Contract – NIH Clinical Center)
GLC Government Services is seeking highly qualified Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technicians with inpatient hospital experience for full-time government contract positions at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) – Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD.
· UD Technician - Rotating schedule, daytime/evenings
· IV Technician - Rotating schedule, daytime/evening
Schedule:
- Full-time: 40 hours/week
- Must be flexible to work morning, evening, rotating weekends and holidays
- Rotating schedule
Responsibilities:
Sterile Compounding & Aseptic Technique
- Prepare sterile and non-sterile products (chemo, IV admixtures, oral solids/liquids) following USP.
- Perform precise pharmaceutical calculations
- Maintain competence in clean room operations and safe handling of hazardous medications
- Follow standardized procedures for mixing bulk pharmaceuticals (e.g., solutions, ointments, powders)
UD Pharmacy Technician Duties
- Safely transport medications, IV solutions, and documentation across all hospital areas
- Complete tasks under supervision of licensed pharmacists
- Maintain confidentiality and secure transport of sensitive patient materials
- Represent the pharmacy and hospital with professionalism and integrity
Leadership & Collaboration
- Assist in training other pharmacy technicians in clean room standards and aseptic preparation
- Support Lead Pharmacy Technician and Supervisory Pharmacist in project completion
Required Qualifications:
Qualification/Requirement/Licensure
Active Pharmacy Tech License (any US State or Territory)
Certification
PTCB or NHA National Certification
CPR/BLS Certification
Active CPR or BLS (American Heart Association preferred)
Experience
Minimum 1 year in inpatient hospital pharmacy
Preferred Experience
Chemo drug preparation and handling, Sterile compounding
Physical Requirements
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform recurrent deliveries
Skill
Strong verbal/written communication, prioritization skills, proficient computer use

$28.02 /hour
UD Pharmacy Technician
$26.39 /hour
