Position: Certified Surgical Technician Oral Surgery Location: New York NY 10003 Contract Duration: 9 Weeks Hours: 37.5 hours/week Shift: 11:00 AM 7:00 PM weekends and holiday availability required Pay Rate: $46 $48/hourJob Summary:Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technician to provide surgical assistance in an oral surgery clinic and dental ambulatory OR/procedure room. The ideal candidate will support surgical residents and attending clinicians ensuring procedures are executed efficiently and safely.Key Responsibilities:Escort patients to surgical chairs screen patients prior to surgery and review medical records to confirm treatment plans.Provide continuous four-handed assistance to clinicians during procedures.Prepare and disinfect all work areas instruments and surgical trays before procedures.Organize and maintain sterile instruments equipment and surgical trays for each procedure.Take radiographs as requested before during or after procedures.Restock cabinets and drawers; order and maintain medical/surgical supplies.Assist chair-side in monitoring patient vitals suctioning passing instruments and administering medications.Remove and dispose of instruments and medical waste after procedures.Respond effectively in emergency situations as needed.Required Skills & Qualifications:Dental Assistant Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Minimum 3 years of experience in surgical or dental assisting; 5 years preferred.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Education:Associates DegreeFor more details contact at About Navitas Healthcare LLC certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
