Title: Metal Fabricator Location: St. Petersburg, FL 33714 Duration : Temp to hire/Full time Pay rate : $18 - $26/hr 1 st shift : 8 am-4:30 pm: M-F Essential Duties and Responsibilities TIG Welding Technician Position Overview This position is responsible for performing activities using the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process. To accomplish this, the TIG welder uses experience and expertise to join various types of metals, such as steel or stainless steel. Essential Job Functions: Use gas tungsten arc equipment as part of the fabrication process Install or repair metal components Use grinding and polishing equipment in the final process Warehouse: 1 year required TIG welding: 3 years (Required) Experience welding nitrided steel preferred Blueprint reading: 2 years (Required) Fabrication: 2 years (Required) Experience: Highschool Diploma or Equivalent Required. Certification in TIG welding techniques Physical Demands: The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work within hot environment. This position includes use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Proper use of PPE is required.
