DescriptionWe are looking for an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to lead the full finance and accounting organization for a global manufacturing business based in Plymouth, Michigan. This executive will work closely with senior leadership to shape financial direction, strengthen operational performance, and support sustainable expansion across domestic and international markets. The role calls for a financially rigorous leader who can pair strong accounting knowledge with sound business judgment in a complex, privately held enterprise.Responsibilities:• Advise the chief executive and leadership team on financial strategy, business performance, and long-range planning priorities.• Direct the company’s worldwide finance and accounting activities, including oversight of a leadership team with 10 direct reports.• Guide budgeting, forecasting, treasury, tax, financial reporting, internal controls, and overall planning processes across global operations.• Identify and implement opportunities to improve margins, working capital, and operating efficiency within a large-scale manufacturing environment.• Partner with cross-functional leaders on capital allocation, major investments, and business decisions that influence growth and profitability.• Lead the financial components of acquisitions, including evaluation, diligence, transaction support, and integration planning.• Oversee domestic and international tax matters while advancing an effective global tax approach aligned with business objectives.• Enhance reporting structures, control frameworks, and finance processes to support scalability, transparency, and disciplined decision-making.• Develop and mentor finance and accounting leaders to build a strong, high-performing organization.• Support enterprise initiatives tied to manufacturing advancement, sustainability efforts, and continued global expansion.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.• At least 10 years of progressive executive leadership experience spanning both accounting and finance functions.• Proven background as a Chief Financial Officer or senior finance executive within a large privately held organization.• Significant experience supporting global manufacturing businesses with operations in multiple countries.• Track record in high-volume, low-margin manufacturing environments.• Demonstrated success leading mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and post-close integration.• Strong expertise in corporate tax, global tax strategy, GAAP accounting, consolidated financial statements, audit, and board-level reporting.• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills, with the ability to influence executives while driving operational execution.Job typePerm
