James River Hospiceis actively seeking a compassionate and highly committedFull-time Hospice Chaplain to join our growing team in Lynchburg!Whats in it for you?Flexible SchedulesCompetitive RatesMileage ReimbursementA brief overview of Responsibilities:Complete a spiritual assessment within 5 days of admission.Support and help develop the patients interdisciplinary care plan related to spiritual needs.Provide ongoing spiritual care that is based on the patients and familys wishes, preferences, and beliefs.Collaborate with local clergy when requested by the patient.Maintain required documentation, including evaluations, care plans, and visit notes.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of spiritual counseling for the patient and family.Coordinate weekly visit schedules with Case Managers to align care.Participate in IDG and QAPI meetings as needed.Lead or support prayer, worship, and spiritual rituals when appropriate.Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:Has a degree in theology or from a seminary.Comfortable in an interfaith setting.Able to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values.Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable car available for use during work hours.If you are interested and are a caring, compassionate Chaplain who can make a difference in the lives of our patients, then we would be interested in meeting you!!"James River is an equal opportunity employer.
