The Vintage Hospital offers the latest in diagnostic and surgical expertise including heart care womens health and orthopedics.Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Chaplain you will serve as a vital spiritual leader and compassionate caregiver within our hospital community providing essential spiritual counseling and support to patients families and staff.Every day you will provide direct spiritual religious and existential care offering compassionate presence support and appropriate rituals to patients families and staff especially during times of crisis or grief. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to advocate for spiritual needs and integrate holistic care ensuring respect for diverse beliefs. To be successful in this role you must be a highly compassionate individual comfortable and skilled in engaging with people who may be emotional panicked stressed or in pain. Youll need the proven ability to provide empathetic care adapt to diverse spiritual needs and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Provide spiritual assessment and pastoral care in assigned areas to patients families and staffInteract with the patient care team on units assigned and wherever called to minister. Communicates necessary patient information to other team members through appropriate use of charting. Respects patient confidentialityParticipate in Oncall rotation and leadership responsibilities for chapel services as needed in coordination with other staff membersPromote and support departmental guidelinesJob RequirementsEducation and Experience RequiredBachelors DegreeFive (5) years of ministry or related work experienceOne (1) Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Units accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education OR active enrollment in a CHI Texas Division CPE ProgramPreferred: Two (2) Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Units accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education OR active enrollment in a CHI Texas Division CPE Program Key Skills Apache,Control System,Data Structures,Hotel Front Office,Clinical Employment Type : Unclear Experience: years Vacancy: 1
