Our full range of medical services includes trauma services heart and vascular care emergency services surgery maternity cancer care and diagnostic imaging.Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs a Charge RN youll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential which aligns with your departments operational goals and objectives.To thrive in this role you need to be accountable and confident. Youre an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. Its also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.Functions as a mentor and coach.Assists with preparation of unit schedules.Assists in development and achievement of departmental budgets and goals.Assists with payroll activities such as monitoring timekeeping.Facilitates ongoing problem solving that utilizes Department PI to achieve desired quality outcomes.Conducts on-the-job training and education on topics such as quality and patient satisfaction.Serves as a clinical resource in area of specialty.Job RequirementsGraduate of a RN nursing program. upon hireRegistered Nurse: NE upon hire andBasic Life Support - CPR upon hire andAdvanced Cardiac Life Support within 5 - monthsPreferred:At least one year of PCU experience.
