Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION To maintain a profitable food service and catering program; to train members in food service and customer service. JOB TASKS Provides effective supervision to staff and trainees Manages and maintains successful operation of the Agency’s cafeteria Maintains appropriate staff/member interactions Conducts time studies to determine training/operation standards Provide food service training to members Complies with all health and safety mandates for the cafeteria Participates in the Agency’s Periodic Service Review and other quality assurance programs Ensures sound program financial management Ensures compliance with all required state and federally mandated background and exclusion checks including but not limited to criminal history background investigation (fingerprinting), Central Registry, Child Abuse Record Information (CARI), drug testing, and motor vehicle checks. Cooperate with any Agency, DDD, and DCP&P or any part or successor thereof in any investigation and inspection Ensures compliance with wearing a mask when mandated by State, Federal, and Licensing authorities during a public health crisis/pandemic. All other duties as assigned EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred. Food Safety Manager Certificate Required; Serv Safe preferred. Experience working with and training adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities.
