Additionally it involves leaching of samples for subsequent analysis. Specifics of this job include: perform sampling at clients facilities preparing samples for analysis analyzing and interpreting data writing reports specifying analysis requirements washing bottles and preparing kits. This position will work on a wide variety of both routine and non-routine analyses and activities and reports to the Laboratory Manager.ResponsibilitiesAssisting developing new analytical methods to improve the products and services provided to customersCapable of repairing instrumentsPerform preventative maintenance on different types of instrumentationPerform routine and non-routine sampling at clients facility as assigned and complete all other additional assignments as requiredProvide technical training to other chemists laboratory technicians and service techniciansResponsible for evaluation interpretation verification of analytical dataReview dataSend Routine ReportsPurchases routine lab supplies and reagentsWillingly serves on Safety 5s and other committeesComplies with the established Quality System and reports quality deficienciesEnsure accuracy and consistency of dataEnsures proper data entry of analysis resultsLimited customer communicationMaintains records for instrument calibrations and preventative maintenanceOperate and maintain assign lab instrumentsPerforms routine and limited non-routine analyses and other lab procedures as requiredPrepare required reagents and standardsAre you a MATCH Requirements1-3 year experience with BS in Chemistry or Similar Science OR0-2 year experience with MS in chemistry or Similar ScienceAdminister safe laboratory practices and keep all related safety trainings up to dateGood problem solving skills innovative and resourcefulProficient in computer skills such as LIMS Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPointWork safely at all times and ensure a safety culture and a safe working environment in the laboratoryCandidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
