Manage cash, employee attendance, revenue assurance and opening/closing of the store. Ensure a safe, clean, and interesting store lay-out and merchandising. Help customers find the best products to suit their individual needs and ensure efficient, courteous handling of customer request.Drives sales success by implementing strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, andincrease profitabilityAssist Retail Manager with product evaluation. Provide input and assist Retail Manager in purchasingand planning decisionsAssist Retail Manager with employee training, development and motivationEducate customers on products and servicesAssist with in-store merchandisingOrder, receive, and maintain inventoryOpen and/or close the store as neededEnsure completion of daily and weekly tasks for the gift shop and sales associatesResponsible for managing the Gift shop in the absence of the Retail ManagerMaintain retail stock inventories between the warehouse, main building, and other applicable areasWork directly with accounting department to provide cash accountabilityPerform other duties as appropriate and as assignedWHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED FOR THIS JOB?Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor; ability to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff, affiliated-company employees, and outside businessassociatesExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as a team environmentStrong organizational and follow-up skills and be detail orientedAbility to make decisions, solve problems and exercise good judgment; ability to work under pressure and prioritize workloadAbility to accurately use industry-standard computer software and learn inventory systems softwareAbility to work extended hours and weekends as neededAbility to quickly and thoroughly learn products and services specific to the Company and quicklyMust be able to push, pull, carry, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, andgreater weights on an occasional basisMust be able to maintain balance on unsteady or uneven surfaces, ladders, and to negotiate stairson an occasional basisMust possess sufficient fine and gross motor skills to operate computers and other equipment asrequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent combination of experience About Us:We're more than a hospitality and attractions company.
