About the Role:We're expanding our Kansas City operation and looking for a Chief Estimator to lead preconstruction on high-profile mechanical projects.In this leadership role, you'll manage complex estimates across mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, piping and hydronic systems, mentor a talented estimating team, and work directly with top general contractors and clients.If you're experienced in all facets of mechanical contracting—from air distribution and piping to plumbing systems—and ready to shape major projects from the ground up, this is your opportunity.What You'll Do:Strive to develop accurate estimates within ~2% of final award numbersLead bid strategy to align with sales and market goalsPerform/manage quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for mechanical, plumbing, and hydronic systemsMentor and guide a high-performing team of estimatorsBuild relationships with GCs, clients, and vendorsRepresent the company at industry events and in the Kansas City construction communityWhat We're Looking For8–10 years of mechanical contracting estimating experience (mechanical, plumbing, hydronics)Strong presentation, negotiation, and leadership skillsProven ability to mentor teams and manage department performanceProficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating platformsBachelor's degree or equivalent industry experienceWhat's in it for YouLeadership Role – Direct influence on major mechanical projects in Kansas CityCompetitive pay + bonus and 401k Match100% paid employer benefits
