This role will be instrumental in driving enterprise-level planning governance and delivery across our cybersecurity and IT portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in program management digital transformation and cross-functional leadership with a strong understanding of cybersecurity operations and organizational agility.Key ResponsibilitiesChief of Staff to the CIO:Act as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the CIO and IT leadershipLead and manage business operations including leadership meetings all-hands and planning cyclesDrive cross-functional initiatives and ensure timely execution of key prioritiesEnable clarity and focus across leadership through strategic guidance and alignmentManage communications and change management across the organizationPartner with the Executive Assistant to the CIO to support organizational health efforts: including culture inclusion and team effectivenessChampion automation AI adoption and operational excellence across the CIO organizationIT PMO LeadershipOversee the centralized Program Management Office (PMO) within the Office of the CIOManage a diverse portfolio including Applications Infrastructure Information Security and Strategic cross functional ProjectsDefine and implement a mature PMO strategy that scales with organizational needsCybersecurity & Risk EnablementCollaborate with the CISO and cybersecurity teams to embed security enablement and resilience in all programsSupport risk mitigation resource optimization and strategic alignment across IT and security initiativesOperational OversightLead budget alignment and execution for IT programsPartner with Finance and procurement planning on managing overall IT budget including reviewing of invoices andDrive workforce development and external learning initiativesProvide performance tracking and reporting to executive stakeholdersLead and coordinate efforts with IT peer leaders to ensure SOX and audit compliance in conjunction with internal and external auditors.Qualifications: 10 years of experience in IT program management IT Operations/Chief of Staff cybersecurity or enterprise operations.Proven track record of leading PMOs in complex high-growth environments.Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks enterprise automation and digital transformationExceptional communication leadership and stakeholder management skillsBachelors degree required; masters degree preferredPreferred Experience Experience with vendor governance contract negotiation and budget optimizationWork Environment This is a hybrid role based in the Sunnyvale CA office with an expectation of 3-4 days per week in the office.#LI-AN2Why ProofpointAt Proofpoint we believe that an exceptional career experience includes a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
