Job Description

The Department of Urology at Northwell Health is seeking a physician leader for the position of Chief, Urology at Long Island Jewish Valley Stream Hospital. Responsibilities and tasks of the role includeResponsibilities and tasks of the role include:Working with the urology system chair and regional director on all matters related to clinical operationsEnsure high quality patient care through development and standardization of care processes and protocolsContinue to develop a culture of scholarship in quality improvement, health equity and outcomesEnsure the productivity of physician faculty and support staffMaintain and improve upon the excellence within the departmentCandidate QualificationsD. Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of MedicineCompletion of residency and fellowship with Board Certification or eligibilityCurrently licensed as a physician in the State of New YorkOutstanding communication and management skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with medical staff, hospital management, and staffPrevious division, department, or program leadershipDepartment of UrologyNorthwell Health's Department of Urology has witnessed tremendous growth within Long Island, New York City, and Westchester over the last 10 years, through provision of comprehensive, integrated health care and wellness services. Our physicians have vast experience in minimally invasive procedures to treat all urologic diseases including those affecting the prostate, bladder, kidneys, female and male genitalia, and urinary tract.
