CHILD NUTRITION CREW MEMBERTitle: Child Nutrition Crew Member (Full Time)Reports to: Director of Dining Service/Child Nutrition Operations ManagerPurpose and Objectives of the Position:The Child Nutrition Crew Member provides a safe orderly comfortable and clean environment to ensure the child nutrition program operates with food and materials needed daily for student meal service. To accomplish these tasks this individualmust work closely with the sta and administration of the district.This individual will be transporting food from one building to another and may assist the kitchen with general food service work.Qualifications:-Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the central office (after employment offer is made.) Maintain current TB testing as required by Health Department regulations.-High school diploma or equivalent. -Valid drivers license and good driving record.-Ability to work independently without supervision.-Ability to serve customers in friendly efficient manner following outlined steps of service. -Ability to maintain a neat clean appearance.-Ability to manually lift a maximum of 60 pounds.-Ability to travel within district during the work day.-Desire to continue career improvement by enhancing skills and job performance. -Kitchen experience preferred.Essential Functions:-Loads food orders and materials onto district truck in a safe orderly manner. -Transport food orders and materials from one building to another building in a district truck or vehicle.-Unloads food orders and materials from district truck at delivery site in a safe orderly manner.-Follows sanitation and safety requirements when handling food and equipment.-Ensures hot and cold food items are kept in compliance with food safety standards.-Engage in direct culinary line support as needed to ensure the efficient operation of food service.-Interacts with coworkers to ensure high service standards. -Provides quality customer service via one-on-one attention to detail.-Support with any daily cleaning or maintenance needs for the efficient operation of the child nutrition program.-Performs other duties as assigned.General Responsibilities:-Ability to ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.-Ability to operate all equipment appropriately as required.-Ability to communicate and work eectively and cooperatively with members of the school district and community.-Ability to react to changes and frequent interruptions in a productiveand positive manner and handle other tasks as assigned.-Ability to assist the kitchen with general food service work whenassigned.-Ability to work to implement the vision and mission of the district.Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:-Requires prolonged standing.-Requires physical exertion to manually move lift carry pull or push heavy objects or materials up to 60 pounds.-Requires stooping bending kneeling reaching turning climbing and balancing.-Must work in noisy and crowded environments with numerous interruptions.-Must work in and around fumes and odors.Term of Employment: At will.
