Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryZen Kids Care is seeking a dedicated and passionate Childcare Center Assistant Director to join our team in Everett, WA. As the Center Assistant Director, you will play a vital role in establishing the daily operations of our center and ensuring the well-being of our children and staff.Your responsibilities will include but not limited to overseeing the delivery of our curriculum, supervising and scheduling staff, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with regulations. If you are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families, we encourage you to apply.Zen Kids Care is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.DutiesDay-to-day operations:Manage day-to-day operations of the daycare center including but not limited to student enrollment, staff hiring and scheduling, staff training and continued education, program planning, program implementation and evaluation, student assessments, family relations, maintaining student and staff records.Effective Communication and Collaboration: Manage operations by communicating effectively with staff and holding them accountable to job-related responsibilities. Collaborate with parents, staff, and stakeholders to build strong relationships and maintain effective communication channels.Supportive Leadership: Develop and maintain a warm, friendly, and supportive environment for both children and staff. Embrace Zen Kids Care center's family-like atmosphere and foster strong relationships with children, parents, and staff members.Curriculum Implementation: Work alongside the leadership team to solidify the delivery of our existing curriculum, designed to promote holistic development and school readiness. Support teachers in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that stimulate children's curiosity and creativity.Compliance: Ensure compliance with all state regulations, policies, and licensing requirements.Financial Management Support: Assist in budget planning and monitoring to ensure efficient use of resources and identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.Empowerment and Mentorship: Embrace Zen Kids Care philosophy of empowering staff members and fostering their professional and personal growth. Serve as a mentor and role model, providing guidance and support while fostering a positive work environment and promoting continuous professional development.Diversity and Inclusion: Promote and support staff to create a fun, safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for children, their families and staff.RequirementsMust have atleast 2 years of experience in childcare or early childhood education setting.Minimum of 6 months of experience preferred in a supervisory or leadership role within a childcare or early childhood education setting.All credentials required for the position of Assistant Center Director per WAC 110-300-0100.Successful completion of a background check is a prerequisite of employment.Action-oriented, strategic thinker, focused on prioritizing and getting the right things done.Knowledge of state and local regulations governing childcare facilities.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to motivate and move the team towards completion of goals and important milestones.Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds comfortably.Commitment to providing high-quality care and education to young children.BenefitsBenefitsWorkload:The workload in this center for an assistant director is almost 40% less compared to other daycare centers due to automations in place.
