All new teachers will get support from our experienced teachers and administrators every step of the way to help develop and grow their teaching skills. We recognize our teachers! All teachers are eligible for annual raises and may be available for additional bonuses.Salary range: $19-$22, depending on experience and educationSchedule: We are a full-year center open from 7am-6pm, Monday-Friday. Available work shifts are: 7:30am-4:30pm, 8am-5pm, 8:30pm-5:30pm, and 9am-6pm. Employees are expected to be able to work any/all of these shifts.Qualifications:Must be at least 16 years of age and enrolled in high school or GED program OR at least 18 with a high school diploma or GED OR at least 21 years of ageAble to meet fingerprint and background check requirements in accordance with the regulations of The MA Department of Early Education and Care.Shows empathy and compassion for young childrenExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with staff, children and familiesMust be able to work any required 9-hour shift between the hours of 7:00AM - 6:00PM, Monday-Friday (Flexibility Required)Able to attend faculty meetings on the 3rd Wednesday evening of each month (Flexibility Required)Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib, as well as onto changing tables.Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aidAbility to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lensesAbility to speak and be understood under normal circumstancesAbility to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergenciesAbility to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involvedAbility to respond immediately to emergency situationsWillingness to learn and desire to have a career in Early Childhood EducationAbout Goddard SchoolsThe Goddard School located in Charlestown, MA will be officially opening in January 2025. Any faculty and team members hired for that date will have the unique opportunity to be an integral part of the opening experience.
