Job Details East Side Neighborhood Services - Minneapolis MN Full-Time/Part-Time $19.00 - $23.00 Hourly DayDescription Full-time positions with benefits regular schedules. No nights or weekends. You play a crucial role in the development and growth of a group of amazing young children. Your responsibilities go beyond teaching basic skills; you create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the physical emotional social and cognitive development of our communitys next center is open to children ages 6 weeks through kindergarten. Key Responsibilities:Creating a Safe and Inclusive Environment: ensure that the environment is safe welcoming and inclusive for all children. Set up classrooms with age-appropriate materials and activities that encourage exploration and learning.Developing Curriculum and Lesson Plans: design and implement a curriculum that meets the developmental needs of children. This includes planning activities that promote literacy numeracy motor skills and social interaction.Observing and Assessing Development: observe and assess each childs progress identifying strengths and areas for improvement and use this information to meet individual needs.Encouraging Social Skills: help children develop essential social skills such as sharing cooperation and empathy. Through group activities and guided play teach children to interact positively with their peers.Supporting Emotional Well-being: provide emotional support and guidance helping children navigate their feelings and build self-esteem. Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere where children feel valued and understood.Engaging with Families: maintain open communication with families sharing insights about their childs development and offering guidance on how to support learning at home. Building strong partnerships with families is key to every childs successQualifications Meet the minimum qualification for a Teacher per the State of MN guidelines 9503.0032 - MN Rules Part A high school diploma or with 4160 hours as assistant teacher and24 quarter college creditorMinnesota technical institute certificate as a Child Development Assistant with 2080 hours of experienceorBaccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in any field with 1040 hours as assistant teacher aide or student intern andorLicense from the Minnesota Department of Education for prekindergarten/nursery or a license from the Minnesota Department of Education for elementary education with a kindergarten endorsementBeyond meeting the states qualifications we are looking for patient caring creative dependable caregivers with great communication skills.Must be able to sit stand kneel bend at the waist frequently and lift up to 40lbs frequently up to 60 lbs occasionally.Available Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. 40 hours per week.
