Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCivil Design Engineer – Land DevelopmentThis position requires U.S. citizenshipLocation: Evans City, PAAbout the RoleA growing civil engineering and land development firm is seeking a motivated Junior Civil Design Engineer to join its team. The firm partners with leading residential, commercial, industrial, and subdivision developers across Western Pennsylvania and offers a full suite of services, including engineering, construction support, permitting, financial expertise, and legal resources. This role is ideal for a self-starting engineer who wants hands-on experience designing large subdivisions and site development projects.What You’ll DoAssist with property analysis, zoning/ordinance review, and conceptual layouts.Conduct field investigations and support environmental assessments.Develop preliminary roadway and grading designs using AutoCAD/Civil 3D.Prepare stormwater management, utility design, and erosion & sedimentation control plans.Assemble and submit permit packages for local, state, and federal agencies (NPDES, DEP, PennDOT, COE, wetlands, floodplain, etc.).Support preparation of Conditional Use, Variance, and Rezoning applications.Prepare project cost estimates and technical presentations for public meetings.Provide direction and technical input to CAD designers/drafters.What We’re Looking ForPA EIT certification (or ability to obtain within 1 year).Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.Strong communication skills; public meeting experience is a plus.Familiarity with Hydraflow, HY-8, StreamStats, HEC-RAS, or PennDOT design standards preferred.Knowledge of PA DEP development regulations is helpful.Why This Opportunity?Direct mentorship from senior engineers and land development professionals with decades of experience.Hands-on involvement from project planning through final construction.Exposure to a wide range of land development and civil engineering services.Apply today to advance your career in land development engineering.
